We’ll be taking cast photos in a week or two, and we’re already hard at work on props, video and musical scores. At our first rehearsal, Ron and Missy were having so much fun we hardly could make it through! This week, we’ll begin our rehearsals for the cast. Legendary Anthony Edwards is musical director, with the amazing Jeff Church directing. Stage manager Fiona Carmody is already whipping the cast into shape (that’s a good thing in the theater world) with schedules, music scores and more. Videographer Terry Newell is hard at work creating some projection magic for the audiences, and you’re going to love Jeff Ridenour’s amazing set.
This production is full of love: donations, dedication, and some of the best artists in Kansas City coming together to create art to benefit our fight against AIDS.
Artists have been a huge part of AIDS Walk Kansas City, who is putting on its 25th walk this year.
We’re a group of artists, writers, photographers, video artists, set designers, costumers, actors, directors, sculptors…all banding together to do what we do best…create art.
And this art carries a message: AIDS is gonna lose.
We use each brushstroke, spoken word and lens click as a sword to fight AIDS and HIV infection. And as you look at this site, you’ll see our accomplishments, and there’s a lot more to come.
